Middlesex University, London has been providing outstanding teaching for over 130 years, and in 2017 it was awarded for its exemplary services to ‘teaching, learning, and outcomes.
Middlesex offers a BA in Professional Practice, Arts and Creative Industries (Musical Theatre), through distance education. This is a top-up degree programme offered through a progression pathway with the ICMT enabling students that have completed the Two-Year Intensive Musical Theatre Course with ICMT to progress to study at Middlesex and have their application fast-tracked. The same applies to those studying our One-Year Professional Development Musical Theatre Course pending discussion with Programme Leaders at Middlesex to ascertain their level and currency of professional experience.
With campuses worldwide, Middlesex has a reputation for working with leading and like-minded educational institutions across the globe to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
The ICMT only trains those who want a performance career. So, all of our contact hours are in practical training (singing, dancing, and acting) with limited written work. This option allows us to create professional performers whilst giving them the flexibility to complete a degree. At the ICMT, we understand that performers need to learn their craft in a studio rather than a classroom. This unique opportunity is the perfect fit for those who want to focus on their practical skills and talent and intend to work towards a career on stage.
We’re proud to deliver world-class musical theatre training taught by current industry professionals. We connect you to the industry whilst you train because your teachers are the industry.
